Coaching with Lori
First, let me take a few paragraphs to define life coaching. If you are already familiar with the concept, please scroll down to learn more about the services I offer and to book a complimentary, no obligation, "Self-Actualization" session with me. I will block off 60 to 90 minutes for you. This first session is on me, and if this conversation is all you need to serve your needs then I am most happy and honoured to provide that for you. If you want to talk more about working together after that then all you have to do is ask and we will look at what option might serve you best. This is all about you - your needs, your life - that is the essence of coaching.

However, can you think of any team or individual athlete that made it to the pinnacle of their sport without a coach? No. Crazy question, right? Similarly, a life coach works with a client to:
Coaching always honours the client as the expert in their own life.
Is it the same as therapy or consulting?
No. Therapy is designed to help people heal from the wounds of the past or deal with conflict and dysfunction. Thus, it's primary function is to look to the past to improve the present. Coaching is about looking to the future. It assumes the client is capable of handling their own life and supports the client in self-directed growth through action and accountability.
Unlike consulting and mentoring, coaches do not provide advice to their clients. Coaches support the individuals they work with in discovering their own truths and implementing the solutions and strategies that work for them.
